Laura Cordova

Laura Cordova is a partner in the firm’s White Collar & Regulatory Enforcement and Health Care groups. A seasoned trial attorney, Laura represents clients across the health care industry in internal investigations and government enforcement actions. Laura focuses much of her practice on defending companies and individuals in False Claims Act (FCA) investigations and litigation.

Laura’s practice also includes counseling companies across the health care industry on compliance with the Anti-Kickback Statute and the False Claims Act.

Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, Laura served as Assistant Chief in the Fraud Section of the Criminal Division at the U.S. Department of Justice, where she led the Corporate Healthcare Fraud Strike Force charged with investigating and prosecuting large, multi-jurisdictional fraud schemes throughout the U.S. While at DOJ, Laura investigated and tried numerous complex cases involving health care fraud, money laundering, false statements, government program fraud, and violations of the Anti-Kickback Statute and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
